VISION 2050, the long-range plan for the central Puget Sound region, fulfills requirements under Washington’s Growth Management Act to develop multicounty planning policies. The policies also serve as the region’s guidelines and principles required under RCW 47.80. The plan is grounded in the public’s commitment to environmental sustainability, social equity, and efficient growth management that maximizes economic strength and mobility. The plan looks ahead to the year 2050, recognizing the significant growth the region expects.
