On April 22, 1970, 20 million people mobilized across the USA to carry the message of protecting the planet. Fifty years later, we still celebrate Earth Day by reminding each other of the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability.
PSRC has a strong interest in repairing and sustaining the region’s environment by protecting and restoring natural systems, conserving habitat, improving water quality and reducing air pollutants.
In our VISION 2050 plan, our goal is to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and restore the health of the Puget Sound. Here are a few resources and partnerships that PSRC has created for local jurisdictions.
- Guidance on Integrating Stormwater Solutions Into Comprehensive Plans
- Puget Sound Regional Electric Vehicle (REV) Collaborative
