New Video: PSRC Housing Monitoring and Survey Data

As cities and counties work to update their comprehensive plans, many are considering the need for housing. Recent amendments to Growth Management Act through House Bill 1220 require cities to plan for housing at each income level with more specificity than in year’s past.

PSRC recently shared the results of its 2022 housing monitoring report and a public opinion survey on housing. Each provide excellent background data on housing trends and community interest in housing. The public survey found, for example, that people think more housing will make their communities better, if done well.

Director of Growth Management Paul Inghram and Principal Planner Laura Benjamin share the highlights of those two reports in this ten-minute presentation. City Councils and Planning Boards may consider showing the video during a meeting to deliver this important information to policy makers.
