Looking for fresh perspectives on making transit in the region more convenient and easy to use?
Please join us at an upcoming peer networking session showcasing examples of regional transit integration in Munich and Frankfurt.
In Germany, regional associations of transit agencies, called verkehrsverbünde, are umbrella organizations that bring together multiple agencies in a voluntary alliance to plan, finance and market separate systems in ways that are unified and legible to riders.
The event will feature special guests from two leading German transit agencies:
Thomas Werner is the Deputy Head of Infrastructure and Traffic Engineering at the Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG), the municipally owned transit operating agency in Munich, and the largest component of the regional verkehrsverbund.
Gisela Grafin von Schlieffen is currently Manager of Customer Relations at Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV), the regional verkehrsverbund for the entire Frankfurt-Main region. Her work for RMV has focused on mobility management, including managing a research program on personal mobility behavior, developing mobile ticketing for the region’s transit operators, and opening mobility centers in the region.
The free session will be 12-1:30 p.m. in PSRC’s Boardroom. Bring your lunch! Water will be provided.
Please RSVP online if you are planning to attend. We have limited space and cannot guarantee attendance without an RSVP.
