Housing is an urgent challenge in the region as home prices and rents have skyrocketed in recent years.
On March 5, the Growth Management Policy Board will begin work on a Regional Housing Strategy that aims to ensure that all people in the region have access to a range of affordable, healthy and safe housing choices.
A new housing action in the draft VISION 2050 plan directs PSRC to develop a regional housing strategy, including a regional housing needs assessment.
The regional housing strategy will be a “playbook” of regional and local actions that can increase housing access and promote fair and equal access to housing for all people.
