Are downtowns poised for a comeback? Learn more at our event on September 29

Reserve your spot! From Pandemic to Prosperity: Downtowns Reimagined on September 29

Downtowns and urban centers are the region’s hubs for commerce, culture, and transportation. Yet many of these places continue to struggle to move forward from the impacts of the pandemic-related closures, threatening the infrastructure and economy of our region. Gil Penalosa of 880 Cities talked with PSRC about the future of downtowns when he visited Seattle in May.

This year's transit-oriented development event will continue the conversation. PSRC will be joined by national experts and local leaders to explore how downtowns can transform in a post-pandemic session.

From Pandemic to Prosperity: Downtowns Reimagined will be held on September 29. The morning session will take place from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., followed by lunch for in-person attendees. During lunch, Rep. Julia Reed (36th District) will address the importance of our city centers as great places to live, work and visit. The afternoon session will take place from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., and will feature walking tours of various locations in Downtown Seattle. More details can be found on the event page.

The in-person plenary session and the walking tours are full, but you can request a spot on the wait list with the registration link. We hope you will join us for the virtual plenary session.

AICP CM credits pending for those who attend the meeting. Registration is free.
