Get ready for Affordable Housing Week! This annual week-long series is organized by the Housing Development Consortium of King County.
Affordable Housing Week is aimed at energizing and empowering housing advocates, local governments, nonprofit organizations, and many other groups to learn new ideas and strategize on ways to address the region’s housing crisis.
Housing affordability is a key focus area of the region’s VISION 2050 plan. PSRC is developing a Regional Housing Strategy and recently released a housing needs assessment that found that the region is two years behind on housing production.
Affordable Housing Week 2021 focuses on the deep connections between health and housing, especially during the pandemic, and the disproportionate impacts on marginalized communities.
