Potential 2010 Jobs Stimulus Bill

Congress is currently debating a jobs bill that may include highway and transit infrastructure investment. All indications are that, if this bill passes, Congress expects quick project action to create jobs this summer. PSRC has been working with the Regional Project Evaluation Committee (RPEC), the four countywide forums, the Transportation Operators Committee (TOC), and staff from each of the transit agencies to prepare prioritized lists of projects. These lists of recommended projects are scheduled for approval by the Transportation Policy and Executive Boards in March, and public comment will be accepted through April.
