As part of the Regional Equity Strategy, the Learning Opportunities Team provides workshops for staff and board members to develop a deeper understanding of racial and social equity and its role in the agency’s work. These trainings equip staff and board members with the tools to more effectively build equity considerations into planning efforts and develop more equitable systems across the region.
Learning opportunities provided to staff and board members clearly highlight the thread between past and present racial inequities, and how PSRC’s work relates to these disparities. These trainings serve as level-setting opportunities, helping staff and board members develop a shared language to more effectively collaborate with one another on this topic.
Each joint board session focused on different topics. The recordings and materials from each session are available for viewing. Future sessions are planned with more details to come.
