The Coordinated Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan outlines how transit agencies, social service agencies, school districts, and other transportation providers can most efficiently and effectively work together to improve regional mobility for individuals with special transportation needs throughout King, Kitsap, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.

People with special transportation needs are defined in state law as people, including their attendants, who because of physical or mental disability, income status, or age, are unable to transport themselves or purchase transportation. [47.06B.012 RCW]

PSRC established the Special Needs Transportation Committee to oversee the development of the Coordinated Plan. On March 26, 2009, the PSRC Executive Board updated PSRC’s Transit-Human Services Coordinated Plan for FFY 2010.

Currently, a major update to the Coordinated Plan is underway, and is scheduled for adoption in spring 2010. Please check back here for information on the update to the Transit-Human Services Coordinated Plan, FFY 2011-2014.
