Stormwater parks and housing on the agenda at Thursday's Growth board meeting

Puget Sound recovery is a key strategy in VISION 2050. The development of stormwater parks is one effective method for fixing legacy stormwater problems, and is an efficient way to both treat stormwater and provide recreational opportunities for communities. On November 3, the Growth Management Policy will be briefed on the development six new stormwater parks, as well as upcoming guidance on planning for new stormwater parks.

The board will also see presentations on:

  • The 2022 Housing Incentives and Tools Survey (HITS), which will include preliminary findings.
  • The Housing Public Opinion Survey, carried out in partnership with the state Department of Commerce.
  • The webinar and walking tour event, TOD for All: Planning for 1 Million+ People Near Transit, that took place on October 21.
